Can't decide if my Jeep needs a minor service or the full major treatment

I've got a 2016 Jeep Wrangler that I use mostly for daily driving with the occasional desert trip on weekends. The oil change light came on and I know I'm due for something, but I'm trying to figure out if I should just do the basic stuff or go all in on the major service. The dealer quoted me two different prices but honestly their explanation was confusing, something about inspecting the diffs and transfer case on the major one. I've been looking at Major Minor Services Mussafah from a few independent shops and the price difference is pretty big depending on what they include. I don't wanna be cheap and skip something important like the spark plugs or coolant flush if it's actually due, but I also don't wanna pay for a bunch of inspections that are basically just visual checks. Does anyone have a rule of thumb for when to do the major versus minor on the Pentastar engine? I'm at about 90k km now and the previous owner's records are a bit spotty. Also wondering if the independents use genuine Mopar filters or if that even matters. Any advice from fellow Jeep owners in the Abu Dhabi area would be great, I just want to keep this thing reliable without wasting money. Thanks.

At 90k km with spotty service records the major service is genuinely the right call. Spark plugs, coolant condition, and diff fluid on a Wrangler that does desert trips are not optional extras at this mileage, they're overdue maintenance items.

Transfer case and diff fluid checks on a Wrangler that sees any off-road use are not just visual inspections. A shop that actually drains and inspects the fluid rather than just looking at it from underneath is the one worth paying the extra for.

Quality aftermarket filters from reputable brands perform identically to Mopar on a Pentastar for routine maintenance. What matters more is the correct spec oil and that the filter is changed on schedule, not whether the box says Mopar specifically.

Spotty previous owner records on a 90k Wrangler means assuming nothing has been done is safer than assuming everything has. The major service essentially gives you a known baseline to work from going forward.

Pentastar spark plugs are typically due around 100k km so being proactive at 90k with unknown history makes sense. Ignoring them and finding out they haven't been changed at 120k when the engine starts misfiring is a more expensive lesson.
